Post Office GDS Recruitment 2024: The India Post Office has announced a recruitment drive for the year 2024, inviting applications for the positions of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak. The application can be edited from 06 to 08 August 2024. The vacancies will be filled for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) as Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak for the financial year 2024-25.

The notification mentioned that the recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) posts are notified across the country including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

India Post GDS Eligibility 2024

Educational Qualification:

10th class Secondary School Examination Passed Certificate with passing in Mathematics and English from any school education board recognized by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India will be the mandatory educational qualification for all accepted categories of GDS.

The applicant should have studied the local language at least up to 10th Standard from a recognized board.

Age Limit:

Applicants must be between 18 to 40 years of age as of July 15, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government norms:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PWD: 10 years

Other Qualification:

• Knowledge of computer
• Knowledge of cycling
• Adequate means of livelihood.

The selected candidates will be paid as follows:

• Post Office GDS SalaryABPM/ GDS- Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 24,470/-
• BPM- Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-
