SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2024: The Staff Selection Commission SSC recently released notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level CHSL Notification. The CHSL Exam has two parts: Tier 1 and Tier 2. It will be done online. The Tier 1 Exam is expected to start in June 2024. Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, and Section-I, Section-II & Module-I of Section-III of Tier-II Examination are as follows.

The exam pattern helps get an idea of the type of questions, sectional weightage, marking scheme, etc. Based on the same, candidates can devise an effective strategy for preparation. An overview of the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern is given below.

In Tier-I Exam, you’ll only find multiple-choice questions. These questions can be in English, Hindi, or any language you choose when applying. Remember, for every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted, so answer carefully.

SSC CHSL Marking Scheme 2024 (Tier 1)
Two marks are awarded for each correct answer in the exam. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.

SSC CHSL 2024 Marking Scheme (Tier 2)
There is a negative marking in SSC CHSL Tier 2, as listed below in the table:

Tier II of the exam has three sections, each with two modules:
Section-I:

Module-II: Skill Test/Typing Test
The exam will be divided into two sessions – Session I and Session II – on the same day. Session I includes Section I, Section II, and Module I of Section III. Session II includes Module II of Section III.
To pass Tier II, candidates must qualify in all sections.
The exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions, except for Module II of Section III. Questions can be in English, Hindi, or any language chosen during the application process.
For wrong answers in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark per question.
Module I of Section III (Computer Knowledge Test) is mandatory but only qualifying.
Module II of Section III (Skill Test/Typing Test) will be conducted in Session II. It’s qualifying and will be evaluated based on guidelines provided by the Commission. Errors in the Skill Test will be calculated up to 2 decimal places.
There are different parts to the Skill Test for Data Entry Operators (DEOs) and Lower Division Clerks (LDCs)/Junior Secretariat Assistants (JSAs), each with its own requirements and time limits. Candidates eligible for a scribe will be given compensatory time.
