CUET UG 2024: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), marks a significant milestone as a unified platform for undergraduate admissions across various universities and institutions in India. Scheduled between May 15th and May 24th, 2024, CUET UG offers students a streamlined process for pursuing their desired undergraduate programs. Eligibility Criteria:

The students who cleared the class 12th/equivalent examination or are appearing in 2024 irrespective of their age can appear in the CUET 2024 exam.

Candidates planning to appear in the CUET 2024 UG exam must have qualified for class 10+2 or going to sit for the 10+2 exam 2024.

In order to be eligible for the CUET Entrance test the candidates are required to have an Indian citizenship.

There is no age limit for CUET 2024 Entrance exam.

CUET UG 2024 Registration Fee

CUET 2024 Registration Fee can be paid by online mode through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI Processing charges. Candidates have to pay the application fee online mode. How to Register for CUET UG 2024

The candidates have to fill out the CUET Registration Form 2024 to get registered for the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). Follow the below steps to fill CUET 2024 Registration Form.

Step 1 – Visit the official website of the CUET to fill out CUET Registration Form 2024 – https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/.

Step 2 – Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the programme.

Step 3 – After clicking, candidates will be able to see three programmes options- UG, PG, and RP. Click on the link you wish to apply for.

Step 4 – Complete the registration process by entering details like the program applied for, name, valid email ID, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen.

Step 5 – Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent to the registered email address and mobile number.

Step 6 – Use the application number and password to log in and fill up the application form by entering the login details like personal, academic qualification, and communication address.

Step 7 – Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format and dimensions.

Step 8 – Select the examination centres- In order of preference, select and enter the exam centres.

Step 9 – On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.

The students appearing for the upcoming CUET 2024 Examination need the following documents to fill in the CUET Application Form 2024.

  1. Name of the Candidate.
  2. Date of Birth
  3. Father’s Name
  4. Mother’s Name
  5. Mobile Number
  6. Email ID of the candidate
  7. Category certificate
  8. Scanned image of Photograph and signature.
  9. Photo identity proof such as an Aadhar card, Bank passbook, or Ration Card copy.
  10. Debit/Credit card or Internet banking details for CUET 2024 application fee payment.

CUET UG 2024 Exam Pattern

NTA conducts the CUET Exam in 13 languages ( Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu). Check the revised CUET Exam Pattern 2024 from here.

1. CUET 2024 will be conducted in online mode this year, earlier, the exam was offline. 

2. CUET (UG) – 2024 will consist of the following 4 sections namely-

➢ Section IA – 13 Languages

➢ Section IB – 20 Languages

➢ Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects

➢ Section III – General Test

3. The question paper will be MCQ type only and there will be a total of 175 questions out of which 140 questions are to be attempted.

4. A Candidate can choose a maximum of any 3 languages from Section IA and Section IB together.

5. Section II consists of 27 Subjects, out of which a candidate may choose a maximum of 6 Subjects.

How to download NTA CUET UG Admit Card 2024 Online?

Candidates can obtain their CUET Admit Card for UG Courses from the official portal using the below-shared steps:-

  1. Visit the official web portal at cuetug.ntaonline.in.
  2. Check the Public Notices section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the link and fill in the required information.
  4. Verify the input details and click on the submit button.
  5. Admit card will be displayed on your device screen.
  6. Check your admit card and print it for further use.

Marking Scheme:

CUET UG 2024 follows a marking scheme with positive and negative marking. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt.

Unattempted questions will not carry any penalty.

Marks and Number of Questions

The total marks for each section will be 200, with each question carrying 4 marks.

  1. Section 1 (Language) will have 50 questions, of which 40 need to be attempted.
  2. Section 2 (Domain-specific Subjects) will have 40-50 questions depending on the subject, and students need to attempt 35-40 questions.
  3. Section 3 (General Test) will have 50 questions, with 40 compulsory attempts.
