Eligibility Criteria For Admission

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2024 in Jammu & Kashmir are as follows:

Domicile:

The candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh. For candidates from Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh will be treated as a domicile certificate.

Age Criteria:

The candidate should be at least 17 years old on 31st December 2024.

Educational Qualifications:

The candidate must have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2).

A minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together is required.

English must be passed individually.

Candidates from State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government with Science subjects and English only are eligible.

Reserved Categories:

For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum marks obtained in the three core subjects should be 40%, instead of the 45% required for General category candidates.

Medical Fitness:

The candidate must be medically fit.

JKBOPEE B.Sc. Nursing 2024 Counselling 

The Jammu & Kashmir B.Sc. Nursing 2024 Counselling process is a crucial step for candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. Nursing programs in various government and private colleges across the union territory. The Counselling is conducted in two phases – online Counselling and physical Counselling. Eligible candidates, as per the Provisional Merit List, are invited to participate in the counselling process after submitting the necessary documents either online or offline, as per the notification by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE).

During online Counselling, candidates fill preference forms, and a mock exercise may be conducted. An online Counselling fee of Rs. 1000/- is required for consideration in seat allotment. For physical Counselling, candidates must fill preference forms and be present during the Counselling process. A Counselling fee of Rs. 1000/- is payable through a Point of Sale (POS) machine at BOPEE office in Jammu/Srinagar.
