The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has commenced the online registration for Class 1 admissions for the academic year 2024-25. This step initiates the KVS Admissions 2024 cycle for one of India’s most esteemed chains of central government schools. The registration process began on April 1, 2024, at 10 am, marking the opportunity for parents and guardians to apply for their children’s admission into Class 1 to 12.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Started Admission Process For Balvatika & Class 1 to 12 (Except 10). Class 1 Students Registration process Live from 1 April to 15 April 2024. Class 2 and Other Classes Admission form will accepted by Kvs Online Portal from 1.4.2024 to 10.4.2024.

KVS Admission Eligibility Criteria
For Classes II to IX: Must have completed the previous class from a recognized school.
Priority Admissions: Children of transferable Central Government employees, defence personnel, and special categories (SC/ST/OBC) have priority.
Proof of Residence: May be required to verify the child’s vicinity to the Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Merit-Based: Admissions are based on Class X board exam marks.
Stream Allocation: Depends on Class X marks and seat availability in desired streams.
Children with Special Needs (CwSN): Eligible for age relaxation and other accommodations.
Documentation: Birth certificates, previous academic records, and relevant certificates for reserved categories are required.

Class I: 6 years but less than 8 years of age as of March 31 of the year in which admission is sought. (Note: Children born on 1st April should also be considered.)

Note – There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing the Class X examination. Similarly, there is no upper & lower age limit for admission to Class XII provided there is no break in the continuous study of the student after passing Class XI.
KVS Admission Selection Process
For Class I – Online Registration and Lottery System for seat allocation. Reservations: RTE (25%), SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC-NCL (27%), and CwSN (3%).
For Classes II to VIII – Admission is based on the Priority Category without an admission test, subject to seat availability.
For Class IX – Admission Test in five subjects (Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, Science). Admission is granted based on a Merit List and Priority Categories.
Class XI – Merit-Based Admission using Class X marks. Stream Allocation based on marks and seat availability. Non-KV Students may be admitted if seats are vacant, based on the same merit criteria.
