PM KISAN 17th Installment Exclusions: The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has Released the 16th Installment in the month of February. The payment of the PM Kisan 17th Installment 2024 will be transferred to Farmers Bank Account in May, 2024 under the PM Kisan Yojana 2024.

PM KISAN 17th Installment Exclusions:
A number of ineligible farmers have received financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN), a scheme introduced by the central government in February 2019 to help landholding farmer families to cover their agricultural and allied expenses. Below is the list of Farmers who are excluded from Pm Kisan 17th Installment.
1. Institutional Land holders:
This category includes entities such as corporations, organizations, or institutions that own agricultural land but are not individual farmers.
2. Specific Categories of Individuals:
(i) Former and current holders of constitutional posts, ministers, members of legislative bodies, mayors, and district panchayat chairpersons.
(ii) Serving or retired government officials, employees of government ministries, PSUs, and attached offices, excluding lower-grade employees.
(iii) Superannuated or retired pensioners receiving a pension of Rs. 10,000 or more per month, excluding lower-grade employees.
(iv) Individuals who paid income tax in the last assessment year.
(v) Professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants, and architects registered with professional bodies and practicing their profession.

3. Non-resident Indians (NRIs):
Landholding farmer families who are NRIs as per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961, are excluded from benefiting under the scheme.

The exclusion criteria also specify the process for certification by state or union territory governments, which may involve self-declaration by beneficiaries or by other adult members of their family if the beneficiary is unavailable. Incorrect self-declaration can lead to recovery of transferred financial benefits and other legal penalties.
